Marketing = Relationships

 Raise your hand if love email marketing?     Really?!     It’s just me?!     I get it. Even I sometimes have a love/hate relationship with my inbox. But when it comes to using email as a marketing channel, it’s hands down my favorite {though Instagram is a close second these days}.     And I want to share a few stats with you that might help change your mind.      For every $1 spent on email marketing $44 is made in return, according to a study by Campaign Monitor .       77% of people prefer to get permission-based promotional messages via email (versus direct mail, text, phone, or social media).       Email subscribers are 3x more likely to share content on social media than leads who came through another channel, according to QuickSprout .      Did you catch those?     People will spend more via email than all other channels typically.

Marketing = Relationships

It might sound too simple to be right, but the real truth is that marketing is just your way of building relationships with clients and potential clients.

We’ve put SO much emphasis on sales, that we have forgotten this very elementary principle. That the people you like or love hardly became your BFF {or the love of your life} on day one.

But we can make it go faster when we crack YOUR relationship code. Let's rewind though ...

How in the heck ARE relationships formed?

You meet -----> You discover commonalities -----> You have multiple contacts in multiple places over time -----> The longer or deeper the contact, the more the relationship escalates -----> Commitment is formed and identities are shaped because of the other -----> A deeper, long-lasting relationship continues to grow.

Think back to all the most important relationships in your life. Does that sound accurate? Even if it wasn’t as formal a declaration as a marriage or summer camp oath {which are tres serious ;)}.

Every relationship follows this pattern. Sometimes it happens faster or slower, but they all have these markers. However, we don’t always want to wait YEARS for that to happen, so your business actually make money.

So how do you accelerate the process?

I break it down in this video.

How Did Your Clients Become Clients?

Do you know how your fave clients became clients? Can you plot the path they took to find you?

No? You’re not alone and it’s probably because you’re missing these 2 kinds of information.

Once you uncover them, you’ll never settle for anyone else’s one-size-fits-all plan, funnel, or strategy again.

Instead you’ll be able to replicate, automate, and accelerate those relationships for more sales based on human behavior — specifically your humans.

Selling is Basically Like Proposing

Selling is basically like proposing. You know you love them, and you’re pretty sure they love you too.

You’ve just gotta ask the question that changes EVERYTHING. If you’ve got a few key ingredients, you can make the “yes” a no brainer.

Your dream clients get what they need and you get to impact more lives. But skip a step and you’ll be left on your knee with everyone staring and feeling totes terrified in that long, awkward pause.

Let’s skip that part and make sure we’ve got people that are madly in love with us to say yes without hesitation.
